Keep a native-size view next to the enlarged one
A short workflow note about checking shape before celebrating small details.
An enlarged pixel image makes every edge easy to inspect, but it can make tiny details feel more important than they are. I want a second view at the intended display size while making changes.
For an icon, I would compare the outline and the biggest light-dark areas first. For a scene, I would ask where the eye enters and where it can rest. These are different questions, so I would not use one checklist for every asset.
The linked new work gives a concrete starting point. Its AI-assisted source and finished native image are different stages of the process.
